Born with a green thumb!
Jean-Jacques had the opportunity to be born with an extraordinary gift: a green thumb. He loved the smell of the flowers and trees. He loved watching life bloom. I can definitely tell you that gardening was his passion during retirement!
He believed that plants talked to us, but that many of us didn’t listen to them as we should. If only we took the time to understand them and discover what they are trying to teach us, the world would be a much happier and healthier place!
I was always afraid he would put out his back while gardening. He never was one to just kick back and relax. Since gardening made him smile and happy, I let him have his fun!

Mélissa had been wanting to do some landscaping for a long time in her backyard. Jean-Jacques found that her yard was indeed in a sorry state of affairs. He decided to create a peaceful play for her, her husband and daughter, Océane.
Despite Mélissa’s small piece of land, he was able to maximize the space to add a bit of colour and dimension. He was as proud as punch when the work was completed!
I would have loved to have one more cocktail hour with him and Mélissa…just one more time.
